Carbon Valley Chapter, NSDAR

Firestone, Colorado

Welcome to the Carbon Valley, Colorado Chapter
of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) website.

Any woman 18 years of  age or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR.

We are a small, but very active chapter. Most of our members live in the Firestone, Frederick, Dacono, and Mead areas, although some members do live outside these boundaries. DAR offers us numerous opportunities that are only limited by our interests and time. Because of our size this means that we can develop close bonds of friendship with our other chapter members that often extend into other parts of our lives. Learn more about our chapter on the About Us page.

DAR’s Three Pillars of Service:

Our chapter members endeavor to make a difference in our community through activities and projects designed to promote DAR’s three pillars of service.

Historic Preservation

Education

Patriotism

DAR members participate in a wide variety of historic preservation projects in our community as it is crucial to saving our history for future generations. Visit our Historic Preservation page to learn more.

DAR is passionate about educating America’s youth and supports a variety of different programs including scholarships, contests, and awards to help further this goal. Visit our Education page to learn more.

For over 135 years, the DAR has carried the torch of patriotism. It is the foundation of the many DAR activities that take place in local communities across the country. Visit our Patriotism page to learn more.
