Carbon Valley Chapter, NSDAR, History
Organizing Carbon Valley Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution began in August 2016.
Encouraged by State Regent Peggy Norton and Organizing Secretary Patty Ament, Organizing Regent Debbie Brodhead, along with Nelda Pennington and Kristine Scott, began working on a new chapter for the Tri-Towns area.
The first organizing meeting was held in August and a Genealogical Workshop was held in October at the Carbon Valley Library in Firestone, Colorado.
April 1, 2017, the chapter held its organizing meeting at Carbon Valley Library in Firestone, Colorado, with 13 members and several guests. On April 5, 2017, the National Board of Managers confirmed the Chapter.

We are delighted to inform you that the Carbon Valley Chapter was officially confirmed by the National Board of Management electronically on April 5, 2017 with 13 organizing members in good standing.
Organizing Regent Debbie Brodhead worked with State Senator Cory Gardner to have a flag flown over our Nation’s Capital on April 5, 2017, in honor of this confirmation. This is now our Chapter Flag. Veteran Larry Bruntz created a special gavel and presented it to the Chapter at the Organizing Meeting.
